The Challenge
The North Tower was a very large healthcare construction project with multiple trades and a compressed schedule. Tie-ins of existing mechanical systems where the building was being expanded had to be carefully coordinated.
The Process
Automated Logic controls were added to a new chilled water system, hot water system, 5 air handling units and more than 220 VAV terminals. The pillow speakers in each of the private rooms are interfaced by the Automated Logic system and allow the patients to control their temperature setpoints from their bed.
The Result
The extension of the ministry-wide OSF WebCTRL front-end allows the facility staff to easily monitor and control the addition. Due to the implementation of advanced control and efficiency techniques, the project was named Automated Logic’s “2017 Midwest Project of the Year.”
